US Launches New Wave of Strikes Against Iran to Keep Strait of Hormuz Open

The US Central Command announced a new round of military strikes against Iran, stating the objective is to maintain navigational freedom in the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States military has carried out another wave of strikes against Iran, according to a statement from US Central Command (CENTCOM). The operation is explicitly aimed at keeping the strategic Strait of Hormuz open for maritime traffic.

As reported by The Guardian, the strikes represent an escalation in US-Iran tensions, with CENTCOM emphasizing the need to ensure the free flow of shipping through the narrow waterway, a critical chokepoint for global oil supplies.

The move follows previous strikes and is likely to heighten concerns about regional instability and potential disruptions to oil markets.
