Deutsche Bank Sees UK Inflation Risks Climbing Through 2027

Deutsche Bank expects UK headline CPI to rise to 3.01% in May, with core at 2.72% and services at 3.65%. The bank projects CPI averaging 3.1% this year, easing to 2.6% in 2026 and 2.3% in 2028, with risks skewed to the upside.

Deutsche Bank analyst Sanjay Raja forecasts UK headline CPI will edge up to 3.01% year-on-year in May. Core CPI is seen at 2.72% and Services CPI at 3.65%.

For the full year, the bank projects CPI to average 3.1%, then decline to 2.6% next year and 2.3% in 2028. Risks to inflation are considered skewed to the upside, suggesting persistent price pressures that could influence Bank of England policy decisions.
