US Senate Votes Against Pardon for Sam Bankman-Fried

The U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution opposing any pardon or sentence reduction for former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, who is currently serving a 25-year prison term for fraud.

The U.S. Senate has voted unanimously in favor of a resolution that blocks any potential pardon or sentence reduction for Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of the collapsed cryptocurrency exchange FTX. The resolution explicitly prohibits clemency under any circumstances.

Bankman-Fried is currently serving a 25-year federal prison sentence for fraud and conspiracy charges related to the $8 billion collapse of FTX. The Senate's move signals strong bipartisan opposition to any leniency for the disgraced executive.
