Iran Could Strike Regional States if US Attacks From Outside, Ex-Adviser Warns

Mohammad Javad Larijani, a former adviser to Iran's late Supreme Leader, warned that Tehran may target neighboring countries if the U.S. launches attacks on Iran from outside the Middle East.

Mohammad Javad Larijani, a former Iranian diplomat and senior adviser to the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, has warned that Tehran could retaliate against regional states if the United States carries out attacks from beyond the Middle East.

According to Larijani, Iran has no issues with its neighbors, but any U.S. military operation that uses regional territory or assets could prompt Iranian strikes. He also stated that Iran would be willing to assist regional countries with security if requested.

The statement comes amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region, despite recent de-escalation efforts between Iran and other nations.
