AXA to Sell Entire 10% Ardian Stake; ACM and Wafra Invest
AXA will divest its 10% stake in private equity firm Ardian, with ACM increasing its ownership to 23% and Wafra investing additional capital. Ardian employees remain the largest shareholder group at about 40%, and the transaction is expected to close between late 2026 and early 2027.
French insurer AXA has agreed to sell its entire 10% stake in private equity firm Ardian. As part of the restructuring, Ardian's management company ACM will increase its ownership to 23%, while Wafra will inject additional capital into the firm.
Ardian employees will retain their position as the largest shareholder group with approximately 40% of the equity. AXA will continue to serve as a principal fund investor in Ardian's funds. The transaction is expected to be completed between late 2026 and early 2027.
