80% of Gen Z Fear AI Will Hinder Learning: Gallup

A new Gallup poll finds that 80% of Gen Z respondents believe using AI tools will make learning more difficult in the future, with 34% saying it is very likely.

A Gallup poll reveals widespread concern among Generation Z about the impact of artificial intelligence on education. 80% of respondents aged 18–25 said it is either very likely (34%) or somewhat likely (46%) that using AI tools will hinder their ability to learn in the future.

The findings underscore growing unease as AI tools like ChatGPT become more integrated into daily life. The survey did not specify which AI tools were referenced, but the results highlight a potential shift in how younger generations view technology's role in education.

While not a direct market mover, the sentiment could influence long-term trends in edtech, workforce development, and regulatory discussions around AI in schools.
