The Australian dollar weakened against the US dollar on Friday, falling to around 0.7105, as a stronger-than-expected US Nonfarm Payrolls report boosted the greenback.

The pair traded 0.39% lower on the day as the US Dollar gained broad support. The upbeat employment data reinforced expectations of a hawkish Federal Reserve, weighing on risk-sensitive currencies like the AUD.
