GBP/USD Flat Near 1.33 as Markets Await Central Bank Decisions

The British pound is trading around 1.3300 during the New York session, moving less than 30 pips on the day.

GBPUSD

Sterling is effectively unchanged on Tuesday, holding near the 1.3300 handle in New York trading. The session has been remarkably quiet, with price action confined to a narrow band. The intraday floor is just above 1.3250, while the upside has stalled fractionally above the 1.3300 mark.

With two major central bank announcements on the horizon, sentiment appears cautious. The pound has shown little directional conviction, and the tight range suggests participants are waiting for clearer catalysts. Volumes have been subdued, reflecting the pre-event indecision.

At the time of writing, GBP/USD is virtually flat, underscoring a holding pattern as traders refrain from placing aggressive bets ahead of the upcoming policy decisions.
