US Retail Sales Rise 0.2% in June to $768.6 Billion, In Line with Expectations

US Retail Sales rose 0.2% month-over-month in June to $768.6 billion, matching market expectations after a 1% increase in May.

According to the US Census Bureau, retail sales in the United States increased by 0.2% month-over-month in June to $768.6 billion. This follows a revised 1.0% gain in May and met the consensus forecast.

On an annual basis, retail sales also showed growth, although the exact yearly figure was not provided in the initial release.

The data suggests steady consumer spending, which is a key driver of the US economy.
