Swiss Franc Edges Higher as Oil Eases, USD/CHF Holds Flat
The Swiss Franc gained slightly against the US Dollar on Friday as falling oil prices weighed on the greenback, though a combination of Middle East tensions and hawkish Federal Reserve expectations kept the USD supported.
The Swiss Franc posted modest gains versus the US Dollar on Friday, supported by a pullback in oil prices that exerted mild pressure on the greenback and lowered US Treasury yields.
Despite the Franc's slight advance, USD/CHF traded largely unchanged on the session. A floor under the US Dollar remains intact due to ongoing geopolitical risks from the Middle East conflict and the market's anticipation of a continued hawkish stance from the Federal Reserve.
Traders are now weighing the near-term balance between oil-driven USD weakness and the supportive factors keeping the dollar from a steeper decline.
