NZD/USD Slides on Commodity Weakness and RBNZ Uncertainty

The New Zealand Dollar fell 0.50% against the US Dollar, trading near 0.5680, pressured by lower commodity prices and ongoing uncertainty over Reserve Bank of New Zealand policy.

NZDUSD

The New Zealand Dollar extended its decline against the US Dollar, with NZD/USD trading around 0.5680, down 0.50% on the day. The currency remains under pressure as softer commodity prices weigh on export revenues and the outlook for New Zealand's economy.

Adding to the downward momentum is renewed uncertainty about the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's (RBNZ) monetary policy path. Markets are pricing in potential rate cuts, but the timing and magnitude remain unclear, leaving the NZD vulnerable to further losses.

The US Dollar strengthened broadly, capitalizing on risk-off sentiment and higher Treasury yields, which added to the selling pressure on the Kiwi.
