Nvidia is reportedly discussing guarantees to help OpenAI secure financing for a massive data center project in Ohio, which could cost over $500 billion.

Nvidia is in discussions with OpenAI to provide $250 billion in guarantees, enabling the AI firm to lease a 10GW data center project that SoftBank is developing in Ohio.

The entire project may exceed $500 billion in total cost, which would make it the largest data center initiative ever announced.

Power for the facility is controlled by the U.S. government and is being funded separately by Japan under a recent trade deal. Commerce Secretary Lutnick is reportedly involved in decisions on power allocation.
