The Japanese Yen remains near 40-year lows against the US Dollar, with USD/JPY trading around 162.70 after hitting a fresh high of 162.84. The pair holds above Tuesday's peak, up about 0.6% for the week, as intervention fears persist.

USDJPY

The Japanese Yen continues to weaken against the US Dollar, holding near multi-decade lows on Wednesday. USD/JPY eased to the 162.70 area after setting a fresh 40-year high at 162.84, yet remains above Tuesday's high of 162.67.

The pair has gained nearly 0.6% on the week, underscoring persistent pressure on the Yen. Market participants remain wary of possible intervention by Japanese authorities, given the currency's rapid depreciation.
