Euro Declines to Near 1.1400 as US Strikes Iran

EUR/USD fell to around 1.1410 in early Asian trading as renewed US-Iran tensions triggered risk aversion, putting pressure on the euro.

EURUSD

The euro weakened against the dollar in early Asian trading on Tuesday, with EUR/USD slipping to approximately 1.1410. The move comes as the United States launched fresh military strikes on Iran, stoking geopolitical risk and fueling a flight to safe-haven assets.

Risk-off sentiment weighed on the euro, which is often sold during periods of global uncertainty. The dollar, meanwhile, benefited from its status as a safe haven. Traders will watch for further developments in the conflict and any official statements that could affect currency markets.

No economic data releases are scheduled that might otherwise influence the pair, leaving the geopolitical situation as the primary driver.
