Bitcoin's Sharpe ratio has fallen to levels previously seen during periods of maximum market pessimism, according to analyst Darkfost. The metric dropped to -21 in late June and breached -20 in early July.

Analyst Darkfost notes that Bitcoin's Sharpe ratio — a key measure of risk-adjusted returns — has entered a range historically associated with extreme market pessimism.

In late June, the metric fell to -21, its lowest since late 2022. It dipped below -20 in early July before partially recovering.

The analyst points out that periods of intense negativity among market participants can last weeks or months. However, historical data suggests such phases have often coincided with the formation of a foundation for subsequent recovery.
