Volkswagen Works Council Chief Daniela Cavallo stated that the company has done its homework to secure jobs and that there will be no site closures under her watch. She emphasized that workers did not cause the current crisis in the industry and that it is up to management to bring competitive products.

Cavallo placed the responsibility squarely on management, asserting that it is not the workers' job to fix the company's product competitiveness. She also called on politicians to contribute to the solution.

The remarks come amid ongoing cost-cutting pressures at Volkswagen, as the automaker faces challenges from competition and shifting demand.
