TeraWulf to Raise ~$3.5B for AI Data Center for Anthropic

TeraWulf plans to raise approximately $3.5 billion to develop an AI data center campus in Kentucky for Anthropic, targeting 401 MW of IT load with first capacity expected in the second half of 2027.

Bitcoin miner TeraWulf is pivoting to AI infrastructure, announcing plans to raise around $3.5 billion for a dedicated data center serving Anthropic. The funds will finance the Justified Data campus in Kentucky, designed to deliver approximately 401 megawatts of critical IT load.

Initial capacity is slated to come online in the second half of 2027. The move underscores the growing convergence between crypto mining firms and high-performance computing for AI workloads.
