NZD/USD Rally Stalls at SMA Clusters, Bulls Target 0.59

The New Zealand Dollar extended its rally against the US Dollar after a softer US inflation report reduced Fed rate hike expectations. NZD/USD traded at 0.5809, with bulls eyeing the 0.59 level despite resistance at SMA clusters.

NZDUSD

The New Zealand Dollar continued its upward momentum against the US Dollar following the latest US inflation data, which dampened speculation of a Federal Reserve rate hike and trimmed investor bets.

At the time of writing, NZD/USD was trading at 0.5809, marking solid gains. However, the advance has stalled at clusters of simple moving averages, with bulls now targeting the 0.59 level as the next key resistance.

Traders are monitoring whether the pair can break above the SMA clusters to sustain the bullish momentum. The softer US inflation figures provided a tailwind for risk-sensitive currencies like the Kiwi.
