NZD/USD Hits Weekly High Near 0.5725 on USD Weakness

The NZD/USD pair reached a fresh weekly high around 0.5725 during European trading as a softer US dollar and improved risk appetite support the Kiwi.

The NZD/USD pair posted a fresh weekly high near 0.5725 during the European session on Friday, buoyed by a broad weakening of the US dollar.

Risk-on sentiment returned to markets as expectations for a more hawkish Federal Reserve eased slightly, reducing demand for the greenback and boosting higher-yielding currencies like the New Zealand dollar.

Technical levels to watch: The pair is testing resistance near the 0.5725 area. A sustained break above could open the door toward the 0.5750 region, while support rests at the 0.5700 round number.
