Iran Publishes Full Text of Interim US-Iran Agreement

Iran released the full text of an interim agreement with the U.S., outlining commitments on non-interference, nuclear program limits, sanctions relief, and a $300 billion reconstruction plan.

Iran has published the complete text of an interim agreement with the United States, according to state news agency IRNA. The deal includes several key provisions:

  • Both sides agree not to interfere in each other's internal affairs and commit to reaching a final agreement within 60 days, with an option to extend.
  • Iran reaffirms it will not produce or acquire nuclear weapons. Stockpiled enriched uranium will be resolved through a mutually agreed mechanism, with any dissolution under IAEA supervision.
  • The U.S. pledges no new sanctions on Iran and no additional military deployments in the region during talks. It also commits to lifting all sanctions under a final agreement timetable.
  • The U.S. will begin lifting its naval blockade of Iran immediately after signing, with full removal targeted within 30 days. Commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz will resume immediately.
  • Iran will work with Oman on future administration and maritime services in the strait, and ensure safe passage for commercial shipping.
  • The U.S. and regional partners will develop an economic reconstruction program for Iran worth at least $300 billion, to be finalized as part of a final agreement within 60 days.
  • Transit of commercial ships will be fee-free for an initial 60-day period, subject to mine clearance and removal of technical obstacles.
