Euro Stays Below 1.1400 Despite Strong PMI Data

The Euro edged higher against the USD on Friday but remained capped below 1.1400, near year-to-date lows despite upbeat Eurozone preliminary PMIs.

EURUSD

The Euro (EUR) ticked up against the US Dollar (USD) on Friday, yet the pair remained capped below the 1.1400 level. The single currency is trading dangerously close to its year-to-date low, even as Eurozone preliminary Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) readings came in stronger than expected.

Traders are now watching for further catalysts to break the range. The upside appears limited as long as 1.1400 holds as resistance.
