ECB to Hold Deposit Rate at 2.25% in July, September Hike Possible – TD Securities

TD Securities strategists expect the European Central Bank to keep the deposit rate unchanged at 2.25% in July following June's hike, with a potential move still on the table for September.

EURUSD

TD Securities analysts anticipate that the European Central Bank (ECB) will hold the deposit facility rate at 2.25% at its July meeting, after raising it in June. According to the strategists, September remains a "live" meeting, leaving the door open for further tightening later in the summer.

The forecast suggests the ECB is pausing to assess the impact of its recent rate increases and incoming economic data before deciding on the next move. Markets will watch for guidance from ECB officials in the coming weeks.
