UAE Provided Intel and Air Cover for Recent Airstrikes on Iran, WSJ Says
The United Arab Emirates supplied intelligence and defensive air cover for airstrikes early this month that targeted Iranian drone and missile storage depots, according to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal.
The operations struck military sites including drone- and missile-storage depots, some of the people said. The Wall Street Journal reported the details on Friday, citing unnamed sources.
The UAE’s role stretched beyond targeting assistance—it contributed defensive air cover, the report said. The cooperation is being viewed as a sign of growing Arab coordination in confronting Iran. The UAE had previously conducted multiple attacks on Iran early in the war.
The latest strikes reflect an intensifying shadow conflict in the region, with nations cooperating to degrade Iran’s military infrastructure.
