Toncoin (TON) rallied sharply after Telegram founder Pavel Durov stated that the blockchain's native cryptocurrency will be renamed to Gram. The token climbed from $1.89 to a local high of $2.26, a gain of 19.5% in 24 hours.
As of now, TON has corrected back to approximately $2. The name change revives the original Gram token branding associated with Telegram's earlier blockchain project.
