OpenAI is preparing to launch a smart speaker that emphasizes its ability to form human-like connections with users. The device will include a camera and other sensors to read the environment, mechanical elements that can move autonomously, and a battery for portability between rooms. To better understand the owner's habits, the assistant will have access to their correspondence and email.
The speaker will run on an advanced version of GPT-Live, the voice mode OpenAI launched in early July. It will be able to control smart home devices, play media, and respond to messages via ChatGPT.
