NZD/USD Flat Below 0.5900 as Traders Await Fed Decision

The New Zealand dollar traded little changed against the greenback on Wednesday, unable to gather momentum above 0.5900 as market participants paused ahead of the FOMC meeting.

NZDUSD

The NZD/USD pair was pinned near 0.5885 early Wednesday, following a brief rebound from the 0.5860 area during the prior session. Price action remained contained between minor gains and small losses throughout the Asian hours.

Market participants showed reluctance to take fresh directional bets ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee decision due later in the day. The 0.5860 horizontal level continued to act as nearby support, while the 0.5900 handle capped any attempts to the upside.

The broader tone was cautious, reflecting broader dollar indecision as traders awaited signals on the Fed’s policy path. The pair stayed inside a tight range, with volatility expected to pick up after the announcement.
