GBP/USD Slips to Fresh Low Near 1.3277 as Central Bank Policies Diverge

Sterling extended losses against the greenback on Tuesday, falling to its lowest level in over three weeks. Market focus remains on the diverging policy outlooks of the Federal Reserve and Bank of England.

GBPUSD

The British pound continued to weaken against the US dollar during European trading on Tuesday, with the pair dipping to around 1.3277—its weakest in more than three weeks. The move extends a recent downtrend as investors reassess interest rate expectations.

Attention is squarely on the policy paths of the Federal Reserve and the Bank of England. While the Fed has signaled a more hawkish stance, the BoE's cautious approach is widening the rate differential, weighing on sterling.

Traders are now looking ahead to upcoming economic data and central bank commentary for further cues on the pair's direction.
