CFDs Broker Orbex Exits EU, Surrenders CySEC Licence

CFDs broker Orbex is leaving the European Union and has voluntarily given up its Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission licence.

On 23 July 2026, a report indicated that Orbex, a retail contracts for differences broker, is exiting the European Union and has surrendered its licence from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

The move marks the end of Orbex's regulated presence in the EU. The broker, which offered forex and CFD trading through its CySEC-authorised entity, has decided to withdraw from the bloc.

No further details about the reasons for the surrender or the broker's future plans were disclosed in the initial report. Orbex clients in the EU are expected to be transitioned to other entities or have their positions closed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
