Carrefour Reports Q2 Sales Growth, H1 Profit Misses Estimates

Carrefour reported Q2 like-for-like sales rose 1.9% to EUR22.71B, with France up 1%. H1 recurring operating income of EUR757M missed the EUR779M estimate. The CFO confirmed FY 2026 targets and said no asset sale talks are ongoing in Poland or Argentina.

Carrefour posted Q2 like-for-like sales of EUR22.71B, up 1.9% year-on-year, with French sales rising 1% like-for-like. H1 sales including VAT reached EUR43.79B.

H1 recurring operating income came in at EUR757M, below the consensus estimate of EUR779M. Operating income was EUR606M, while adjusted net income group share stood at EUR345M. The company reaffirmed its financial targets for fiscal 2026.

In the earnings call, the CFO stated there are no ongoing discussions regarding asset sales in Poland or Argentina and noted that Carrefour's market share in France remained stable during the second quarter.
