BRL Seen Weaker Into Year-End, Rabobank Says

Rabobank strategists expect the Brazilian real to weaken further by year-end, citing lingering global uncertainties despite a pause in US-Iran hostilities.

USDBRL

Rabobank strategists Mauricio Une and Renan Alves expect the Brazilian real (BRL) to weaken into year-end. The view comes amid a slight easing in US-Iran tensions after a pause in hostilities, though the overall outlook for global energy markets remains highly uncertain.

The bank did not provide specific target levels in the note, but the commentary suggests that the recent de-escalation may offer only temporary relief. Broader geopolitical risks and global energy price swings continue to cloud emerging-market currency prospects, including the real.

In addition to geopolitical drivers, BRL remains sensitive to domestic fiscal developments and global monetary policy shifts.
