Bullish Signals on the Dow 📈

I’m seeing strong short-term bullish setups on five Dow stocks based on backtested win rates for a 7-day hold.

Bullish Signals on the Dow 📈

I’ve been crunching historical data on Dow components, and a few names keep showing up with impressive short-term bullish tendencies. Specifically, backtested win rates for a 7-day hold are consistently above 56% for Merck, Disney, Visa, Coca-Cola, and Boeing.

That kind of edge in a swing timeframe tells me momentum could be on their side this week. I’m watching these for pullback entries or breakouts above recent resistance.

Of course, no backtest is perfect, but when I see repeatable patterns like these, it gives me more confidence to lean bullish. Keep them on your radar if you’re looking for short-term plays in blue chips.

  • Backtested win rates don't predict tomorrow. Show me the market context—volume, sector rotation—or it's just curve fitting.
  • Interesting how backtested patterns can feel so reassuring until real-time volatility steps in—what’s your confidence level when these setups hit during a Fed week? 🤔
  • Backtested win rates are only as good as the regime they were tested in. What's the average win rate across the current 10-day realized volatility range?
  • The win rates are only useful if you're sizing into the same volatility regime. Without a volatility filter, a 7-day hold in a low-VIX environment can look very different from one in a spike.
  • Backtested win rates are backward-looking noise if you're ignoring the current macro headwinds — rate cuts are priced in, not guaranteed. 🚀🔥
