The tanker Yasa Polaris was hit by a drone on July 7 near the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal in the Black Sea, according to its operator Yasa Tanker. The company stated that the hull sustained no damage and there was no environmental harm. The vessel has since left the area.

The CPC terminal is a critical export hub for crude oil from Kazakhstan, making any incident there a potential concern for global oil supply. However, the immediate resolution and absence of damage suggest limited near-term market disruption.

Traders will monitor for any further developments, as geopolitical tensions in the Black Sea region have periodically affected energy infrastructure.
