WTI Crude Holds Near $70 as US-Iran Talks and OPEC Tensions Weigh

West Texas Intermediate crude oil stalls around $70.10 per barrel as traders assess potential US-Iran negotiations in Doha and ongoing OPEC discord, keeping prices under pressure.

WTI

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil is trading near $70.10 per barrel during Asian hours on Tuesday, after earlier losses stabilised. The price remains subdued as the market digests mixed signals from US-Iran talks reportedly taking place in Doha, alongside persistent friction within OPEC over output strategy.

Traders are cautious ahead of any concrete outcome from the diplomatic channel, while OPEC's internal disagreements continue to cloud the supply outlook. The fragile interim setup leaves crude vulnerable to headline-driven swings in the near term.

No breaking news has triggered a sharp move, but the combination of geopolitical uncertainty and producer discord is capping any upside attempts.
