US Dollar Mixed: Soft Against Most, Strong Against Yen Near 40-Year High
Equities bounced back and the Canadian Dollar recovered from earlier tariff-related losses. The US Dollar is mostly softer, but strengthens against the yen, pushing USDJPY towards the 40-year high near 162.85.

Equities rebounded while the Canadian Dollar recovered from losses triggered by US tariff threats of 50%. The US Dollar is broadly softer against major and emerging market currencies.
The yen is the exception, with the dollar pushing closer to its 40-year high recorded at the start of the month near JPY162.85. Oil prices remain firm as de-escalation efforts continue.
