US Begins 13th Night of Strikes; Brent Tops $100 on Houthi Tanker Attacks

US Central Command launched a 13th consecutive night of strikes targeting Iran-backed groups, while Houthi claims of hitting two Saudi oil tankers pushed Brent crude above $100 for the first time in nearly two months.

BRENT

US Central Command announced it has begun a 13th consecutive night of strikes aimed at holding Iran accountable and reducing threats from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to commercial shipping.

The strikes follow claims by the Houthi group that it hit two Saudi oil tankers. The attacks on tankers pushed Brent crude oil above $100 per barrel for the first time in nearly two months, reflecting heightened geopolitical risk in the region.

The US military actions are part of an ongoing campaign to degrade the IRGC's ability to target vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, where tensions have escalated sharply in recent weeks.
