Telegram to Launch Non-Custodial Gram Wallet

Telegram will launch a non-custodial Gram wallet in all versions of the messenger, reaching over one billion users. Currently, a custodial Wallet from The Open Platform has 150 million users.

Telegram announced the launch of a non-custodial Gram wallet, which will be integrated into all versions of the messenger. The product will become available to more than one billion users.

Currently, Telegram operates a custodial Wallet service provided by The Open Platform, which has over 150 million registered users. The default mode of that wallet is custodial, meaning the service holds users' private keys. The new non-custodial wallet will give users full control over their funds.
