USDCNY

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) fixed the USD/CNY reference rate at 6.7989 for Friday's trading session, compared to the prior day's fix of 6.8036. The new rate is also marginally firmer than the Reuters estimate of 6.7931, indicating a slight policy tilt toward yuan strength.

The central parity rate serves as a daily trading band midpoint, allowing the yuan to move up or down by 2% from that level during the session. Markets will watch for any further PBOC signals on currency direction amid global dollar fluctuations.
