China's gross domestic product rose 0.9% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the previous quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics reported Wednesday. The reading matched analyst expectations.
This marks a deceleration from the 1.3% quarter-on-quarter expansion recorded in the first quarter of the year. The data points to a gradual cooling in the world's second-largest economy.
