Bitcoin Drops to $73k as US-Iran Conflict Sparks $1B Liquidations

Bitcoin fell to $73,000 and Ethereum dropped below $2,000 as US-Iran tensions led to nearly $1 billion in crypto liquidations over 24 hours, mostly long positions.

Bitcoin has fallen to $73,000 amid escalating military exchanges between the US and Iran. The cryptocurrency is down significantly from recent highs as geopolitical risk spurs a sharp sell-off.

Ethereum also declined, slipping below the $2,000 mark. According to market data, the crypto market saw nearly $1 billion in total liquidations over the past 24 hours, with longs accounting for the vast majority of the losses.
