AUD Slips as Trump Signals End to Iran MoU

The Australian Dollar reversed early gains, falling to near 0.6915 against the US Dollar after Donald Trump indicated that the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran may be over.

AUDUSD

The Australian Dollar (AUD) gave back its earlier gains and turned lower during the European session, trading near 0.6915 against the US Dollar (USD).

The move followed remarks by former US President Donald Trump suggesting that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Iran appears to be over. The comments weighed on risk-sensitive currencies such as the Aussie, which had initially risen earlier in the day.

Traders are now monitoring further developments around US-Iran relations and their potential impact on global risk sentiment and commodity currencies.
