10-Year Yield Nears 4.70%, Hits Fresh 52-Week High

The 10-year Treasury note yield is approaching 4.70%, reaching a new 52-week high, up over 70 basis points since the start of the Iran War, as markets brace for a potential energy shock.

The 10-year US Treasury yield continues its upward climb, now near 4.70% and marking a fresh 52-week high. The move represents a rise of more than 70 basis points since the onset of the Iran War.

Market participants are positioning for an energy supply disruption, which is fueling the sell-off in government bonds. The yield surge reflects growing anxiety over inflationary pressures stemming from higher oil prices and geopolitical instability.
