All three major US stock indices opened in positive territory on the day.
The Nasdaq Composite surged 378.69 points, or 1.47%, to 26,088.13. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 212.86 points, or 0.42%, reaching 51,079.64. The S&P 500 rose 68.75 points, or 0.93%, to 7,452.49.
These gains mark a strong start for the trading session across the board.
