Super Micro Computer (SMCI) shares surged nearly 20% in after-hours or premarket trading following a blockbuster quarterly update. The company disclosed that it received approximately $60 billion in new orders during the last quarter, signaling massive demand for its server and AI infrastructure products.

Management now expects revenue for the quarter to come in at roughly five times the year-ago figure, reflecting the ongoing boom in data center builds and AI hardware purchasing. The order book surge suggests strong momentum heading into the next fiscal period.

Investors reacted sharply to the news, pushing SMCI to multi-session highs. The company has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI capex cycle, consistently raising guidance over the past several quarters.
