NZD/USD slips for second day, holds above mid-0.5700s as USD stays firm before Fed

The New Zealand dollar edges lower for a second consecutive session, hovering above the mid-0.5700s, as the US dollar remains bid ahead of the FOMC meeting.

NZDUSD

The NZD/USD pair turned lower again after briefly touching the 0.5785 area during Asian trading. Sellers pushed the rate back toward the mid-0.5700s zone, where it struggled to find lasting support.

The greenback held firm as markets positioned for the Federal Reserve’s policy decision, with expectations leaning toward a hawkish hold. The kiwi remains under pressure amid a lack of fresh domestic catalysts, leaving the pair at the mercy of broader USD moves.

Trading is likely to stay contained ahead of the FOMC statement, with immediate support near 0.5700 and resistance around 0.5800.
