Indian Rupee Rises on Middle East Peace Hopes

The Indian Rupee opens higher against the US Dollar on Tuesday, with USD/INR correcting to near 96.34 from a two-month high of 96.76, driven by renewed hopes of de-escalation between the US and Iran.

USDINR

The Indian Rupee strengthened against the US Dollar in early Asian trading on Tuesday, pulling back from its recent two-month peak. USD/INR eased to around 96.34 after touching 96.76 on Monday, the highest level in two months.

Market sentiment improved on fresh expectations that tensions between the United States and Iran may cool, reducing safe-haven demand for the greenback. The Rupee, often sensitive to geopolitical developments and crude oil prices, benefited from the shift in risk appetite.

Traders will now watch for further cues on the Middle East situation and any intervention by the Reserve Bank of India to manage currency volatility.
