Fed's Williams: Economy Solid, Absorbing Middle East Risks Well

New York Fed President John Williams stated that U.S. economic growth is solid and on trend, with the labor market similarly stable, and while Middle East conflict poses significant risks, the economy has absorbed them fairly well so far.

New York Federal Reserve President John Williams offered an upbeat assessment of the U.S. economy, describing growth as solid and on trend. He characterized the labor market as likewise solid and stable.

Williams acknowledged that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East presents significant risks to the outlook. However, he noted that the U.S. economy has so far absorbed these geopolitical events fairly well without major disruption.
