BNY says Euro value case needs growth confirmation

BNY's Geoff Yu argues Euro assets show emerging value as ECB holds steady and inflation eases, but cautions that PMI data and corporate earnings must confirm stable growth.

EURUSD

According to BNY strategist Geoff Yu, Euro-denominated assets are displaying emerging value as the European Central Bank maintains its policy stance and inflationary pressures moderate.

However, Yu stresses that confirmation of stable growth is essential for the bullish case to hold. Key data points to watch include Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) releases and corporate earnings reports, which must validate the improving macroeconomic picture.

The assessment underscores a cautious optimism: while valuation metrics are becoming more attractive, tangible economic performance is needed to justify further upside in the Euro.
