AUD/USD Rises Near 0.7000 as US PPI Misses Expectations

The Australian Dollar gains against the US Dollar after softer-than-expected US producer inflation data pushes the greenback lower, lifting AUD/USD toward the 0.7000 level.

AUDUSD

The Australian Dollar (AUD) strengthened against the US Dollar (USD) on Wednesday, with AUD/USD trading near the 0.7000 mark. The move was driven by broad USD weakness following the release of US producer price index (PPI) data that came in softer than market expectations.

A softer PPI reading reduces the likelihood of aggressive Federal Reserve rate hikes, weighing on the USD and boosting risk-sensitive currencies like the AUD. The pair now eyes the psychological 0.7000 resistance level as traders assess further catalysts.
