AI Mentions on Global Earnings Calls Hit Record in H1 2026

Mentions of AI disruptions on H1 2026 earnings calls surged to ~780, a 310% increase from H2 2025. A record 337 S&P 500 executives mentioned AI in Q1 2026, more than double the 5-year average.

AI has become the dominant theme on global earnings calls. In the first half of 2026, mentions of AI disruptions hit a record ~780, representing a 310% jump from ~190 in the second half of 2025. This single half-year period saw more AI-related mentions than the previous three years combined.

According to FactSet, a record 337 executives at S&P 500 companies mentioned AI during Q1 2026 earnings calls (March 15 to June 11). That figure is more than double the five-year average of 164 and more than triple the ten-year average of 103.

The data underscores how deeply AI is reshaping corporate strategy and financial markets.
