Uber Nears €12.5 Billion Deal to Acquire Delivery Hero

Uber is close to a €12.5 billion deal to acquire Delivery Hero, with an announcement expected as early as Thursday. As part of the deal, Delivery Hero will sell its Turkish unit Yemeksepeti and several European businesses to an investment firm.

According to the Financial Times, Uber is nearing a €12.5 billion agreement to acquire Delivery Hero, the German food-delivery company. The announcement could come as early as Thursday.

As part of the transaction, Delivery Hero is expected to divest its Turkish subsidiary Yemeksepeti and several of its European operations to an unnamed investment firm. The deal would significantly expand Uber's presence in the global food-delivery market.
